Questions & Answers

Is there a timetable or are there any fixed departure times?

No. The ferry runs on request, even if only one person needs to cross. Please take note of current operating hours.

How long does the crossing last?

It takes around four minutes to reach the far shore. That means you won’t need to wait longer than around 10 minutes for the next ferry.

Is there a weekly ticket or a multi-ride ticket?

Custom tickets can be bought directly from the captain. This is especially handy if you’re attending a daily sailing course, for example.

Do I need to book?

For groups of up to 20 people, even with bicycles, there’s no need to book. For larger groups, we do ask that you contact us in advance.

How far from the jetty is the Valley Station for the Schafbergbahn railway?

The lower station is around 200 metres from our jetty. Keep right after disembarking!

Where can I buy tickets?

You can buy tickets directly from the captain on board. Card payments are no problem. Please be aware that we’re unable to provide tickets for WolfgangseeSchifffahrt services or the Schafbergbahn railway.

Can dogs be brought aboard the ferry and the other vessels?

Yes, dogs are most welcome – but please bring them in a dog trailer/dog basket or on a short leash with a muzzle.

What items can be taken aboard the ferry?

Our modern ferry allows for bicycles, scooters, bicycle trailers, prams, dog trailers, handcarts, mopeds, e-scooters, motorcycles, wheelchairs and walking frames to be (accessibly) transported.

What discounts are available?

Children aged six to 14 pay half-price. In addition, customers with the WolfgangseeCard get a discount on return tickets.
